This letter comes as an unsolicited commendation to your company of a job well done! I don’t usually write these kinds of letters, because my expectation is that good customer service should be a given in any business transaction. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. I called “Grasseaters” from your ad in the paper, not through a referral or knowing anything about the company. What I did know, was that I needed the service you offer, didn’t have a lot of time and needed a company who would do what they promised. Your service technician (I believe his name is Noe) came on time as promised. He was very knowledgeable, professional and customer oriented. He was respectful of my time, and that was important. I was pleased with the work he did. You are getting this letter because we spoke when I called back a second visit. The experience was the same; just a first class job. Again, he arrived on time and did not have me waiting, during an unpredictable but typical 4 hour widow that basically kills your day.

This company handles all of my landscaping maintenance, ranging from diagnosing/replacing broken sprinkler heads to pulling weeds out of my flowerbeds. They are in charge of ordering, planting, and fertilizing my floral arrangements twice annually. They trim my many bushes, mow the lawn each Thursday, rake leaves, blow residue out of my yard, and troubleshoot problems with my lawn (such as leveling low areas, replacing edging, and suggesting such changes as removing dying Junipers and substituting Jasmine as a more-attractive and functional replacement).

Overall, I am very impressed with the professionalism of Grasseaters, Inc. I can not only talk directly to the top dogs in the business, but they will come to my house and work with me directly regarding with my concerns. They have worked with this home though the previous owners and myself over a course of about two decades, so they know the land and its nuances very well. They are pretty pricey in certain areas, particularly in replacing foliage and sod, but they are reliable. My only consistent disappointment has been with their gas blower work, where–despite numerous calls and complaints–their workers will blow clippings and leaves from my lawn into the neighbors yard. This has been an area of friction in the neighborhood, brought on by Grasseaters non-compliance. But, overall, this is a fine group that I’d recommend almost without reservation to others in the Metroplex.
